Zero for two
I have received two brewers and both have been defective. The first worked about 3 days and then didn't complete the brew cycle, leaving about a half inch of water in the cup. Keurig replaced it with little fuss. The second brewer lasted about two weeks with a similar failure, but not quite the same. The third unit is on it's way, but needless to say, I have wasted too much time on this problem already and this will be the last.

Perfect for work
I ordered this brewer because I simply couldn't stand the free coffee in our office and was tired of paying more than /cup at the cafe upstairs. Now I get whatever flavor and strength of coffee I want (they even make half-caf K-cups!), as many cups as I want, for between 30 and 45 cents each. The brewer is the perfect size to fit on the desk in my cube and it brews quietly enough that no one can tell when I'm using it (we do have a white noise machine which probably covers up some of the brewing noise); I have not had any of the shaking/vibrating problems that some people have experienced. At least three of my friends have bought their own Keurig after using mine. Can't say enough good things about it - I love it!.

A few days in, so far so good.
I have had the B40 for several days now and am enjoying it so far. I have used it twice a day without any problems. It brews up a good cup of coffee and am still working on finding my favorite K-Cup. Enjoying the Extra Bold varieties in the 9.25oz setting. No issues with noise or any other complaints for that matter. Will update this review after I have more time using the B40.

Coffee Maker
Great to use. Pods are expensive. Wish they were more reasonably priced. Do not like the fact that brochure accompanying
product states State of California says product can cause cancer because of lead. However, I know so many people who have
one and they are still going strong.

Wish Keurig would have issued a statement on what State of California says.

Second times a charm
I bought my first Keurig and it didn't work right. It wouldn't prime, the lights never came on, ect. I returned it and replaced it with an identical model. I love it. It'w well worth the space on my counter. I bought a pack of K-Cup lids, so now I can can heat hot water in it. I'm glad I didn't give up after the first problem.

Hoover SteamVac Carpet Cleaner with Clean Surge, F5914-900

Hoover SteamVac Carpet Cleaner with Clean Surge, F5914-900
Binding: Kitchen
Manufacturer: Hoover
Product Description:
SteamVac features SpinScrub The Multiple Brush System with 5 self-adjusting brushes for outstanding cleaning performance
Amazon.com:
This powerful home steam vacuum saves you the expense and hassle of having to rent a steam cleaner and keeps rugs, upholstery, and bare floors (other than hardwoods) looking like new. The powerful 12-amp motor combined with five spinning brushes that operate at either high or low speed lift the usual dirt and grime out of carpets. By pulling on the trigger in the comfortable upright handle, this deep cleaner releases the included carpet/upholstery cleaner and hot tap water. For more stubborn stains or for high-traffic areas, this SteamVac also has a Clean Surge feature, which sends an extra blast of cleaning solution into the stain by simply pressing a button on the handle. When cleaning is complete, release the trigger and the SteamVac forces hot air into the cleaning path so you can do a few dry strokes over the stain. This deep cleaner has two separate water tanks to keep clean water apart from dirty water. The top tank holds the detergent and 1 gallon of hot water and automatically mixes the two so you don’t need to get your hands wet. The lower tank holds the dirty solution picked up from the carpet and unlatches to easily pour out into a sink without spilling. For cleaning stairs or upholstery, this deep cleaner has a long 8-foot hose and a special stair/upholstery nozzle that scrubs out spots. Other features of this deep cleaner include a brush indicator, which informs you that the brushes are spinning; an on/off foot pedal; a handle release pedal; and a 27-inch wraparound cord. The Hoover SteamVac is covered by a full one-year warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde

Works very well
This item performs very well with both our short and long pile carpet. Please keep in mind that I have only rental Rug Doctor steamers and a cheap Bissell QuickSteamer to compare it to. The scrubbing and water lifting capacity (albeit a slightly more narrow pass) is superior to the massive Rug Doctor and the cleanup and ease of operation is on par or superior to the much smaller Bissell. Plus the added attachments make odd-ball jobs clean up nicely. With both a child and an indoor dog, we use the cleaner weekly and we are very satisfied with the Hoover, the dog on the other hand...

FIVE-STAR VETERAN ENDORSEMENT
In January 2000, I bought an earlier version of this Hoover® SteamVac and it has been one of the most reliable appliances I've ever owned. Back then I even purchased an extended warranty for it, but could have saved on that expense, because the carpet cleaner NEVER SKIPPED A BEAT while being routinely used 5-6 TIMES A YEAR FOR TEN YEARS. I started it up a month ago to do some spot cleaning, and while it still works, the suction would automatically shut off when the recovery tank was only half full. I also could not locate the source of a tiny drip that occurred when it was not running. Finally, it seemed as if the suction was not as strong as it once was. Wow, after A DECADE of faultless service, it was time to replace my beloved carpet cleaner that was finally showing its age.

So I wasn't surprised to see the overwhelming consumer praise for this descendent of my old Hoover® model on Amazon, and its #1 position as their best-selling carpet steamer. I shopped around, but with free shipping couldn't find a better deal than Amazon. I ordered it on Friday and rec'd it the following Wednesday - fast. It comes partially assembled and I assembled the rest in about 15 minutes - very easy. I put it to work right away and was WELL PLEASED with its performance. There are a few design changes and some functional improvements to my old one - most notable is the more powerful suction. Writing this review two hours later, the carpet is nearly dry.

As a veteran Hoover® SteamVac user I whole-heartedly endorse this carpet cleaner, and can offer these suggestions for best results:

>> As Hoover suggests, be sure to vacuum your carpet very well before you start cleaning them. Loose fibers, pet hair and other debris will visibly hang up in hood. No doubt this will interfere with the overall performance. I didn't bother vacuuming once and had to fish the debris out of the hood with a pipe cleaner - lesson learned

>> Keep up with the carpet cleaning - it's just easier. I don't clean ALL my carpets all the time - I do a lot of spot/traffic cleaning. I've tried to take short cuts and use spray cleaners on small spots and have noticed that the solution residue left behind after it dries is like a dirt magnet. It's just so easy to bring out your carpet cleaner and really pull the spots OUT as opposed to just re-arranging them in the carpet.

>> Use a genuine pre-treatment/spot solution (if needed). I used Resolve® spray carpet/spot cleaner once to pre-treat spots and heavy traffic areas, and was shocked to see the foamy suds it created in the recovery tank. No harm done, but another lesson learned. Invest in Hoover's spot and stain spray if you have some set-in stains or heavy traffic soil, but you'll be surprised what the regular cleaning solution will get out.

Easy to use, great cleaner
My husband & I did a bit of research on carpet steam cleaners & chose this one as a mid price. We ordered it on a thursday around 5:00pm & with regular shipping it was here by Saturday am. I was able to put it together following the instructions very easily. I was able to use right away & followed other reviewers' advice: VERY hot tap water, make sure the lid/top to the dirty water basin is snapped into place or it won't suck up any liquid. We have had it for about a month & I have already used it 4 times. We have an issue with dogs going on the carpet. The cleaning solution that came with it smells good & seems to work well but we also bought a special pet odor one by Hoover at Target. I wish we had ordered some when we bought the cleaner because it is cheaper at Amazon. My carpet looks (and smells) a zillion times better but I still need more passes as it had been an extremely long time since it had been cleaned and we still have some catching up to do. The good thing is the carpet dries within a few hours. I am thrilled with this purchase. This is way better than renting one from a grocery store that people have put god-knows-what in it & 3 rentals would cost about as much as buying. Also you can spot clean carpets or even furniture. We have only used it on the carpet so far but it came with attachments for all kinds of stuff.

great product, could be wider
I am really happy with the product, but almost wish I would have bought the wider version. I had borrowed a friend's wider Hoover SteamVacWide V and it worked great, but all the reviews said this model was the best as far as no leaking and suction go. I have to empty and refill the containers much more often with this model because they are smaller than the Wide V, but if your carpet area is small, that isn't as much of a concern.

Definately love the separate containers for clean and dirty water-that's a must in my book. Very easy to use and does a great job cleaning. The suction is excellent-even better than the rentals I've used- and my carpet dried in no time. It also comes with a bottle of carpet shampoo, which is not indicated on the box. Would definitely recommend this product, and the Hoover brand in general.

GREAT CARPET CLEANER!!!
I LOVE THIS CARPET CLEANER.
IT IS VERY STURDY YET LIGHT ENOUGH TO CARRY UP AND DOWN STAIRS.
I HAVE HAD MORE EXPENSIVE BISSELL CARPET CLEANERS AND THIS ONE
IS MUCH BETTER!
IT DOESNOT OVER SATURATE WITH WATER AND MAKE IT HARD FOR CARPET TO DRY,
IT CLEANS AREAS GREAT!!
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS CLEANER.
YOU WILLNOT BE DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS PURCHASE!
